What is CERT?

CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) is a national organization dedicated to aiding emergency services personnel during situations such as natural disasters wherein the fire and police crews are overwhelmed. Each community has a different CERT team. BBV-CERT (Big Bear Valley Community Emergency Response Team) is the CERT team serving the Big Bear Valley.

Our Mission

The Big Bear Valley Community Emergency Response Team (BBV-CERT) creates opportunities for individuals to volunteer and help their communities prepare for and respond to emergencies.
The goal is to have all citizens participate in making their communities safer, stronger, and better prepared for handling the consequences of disasters of all kinds.
